Javascript, the programming language likely running in web pages you are viewing, is 25 years old.
25 years ago Pixar’s Toy Story was mere weeks away from release.
Brendan Eich, one of my fav software people, helped create Javascript and now he is the CEO of the Brave Browser I used for everyday web surfing because of its privacy features. Firefox turds bullied him out of Mozilla which he helped create because he donated to a conservative cause.
I remember the days we would have to specify which version of Javascript we were using in a web page and in training people to use Javascript we would tell them to be careful of using the newer features in newer versions and have fallback. A whole lot of “if” statements.
